Bathtub Refinishing & Tub Glazing in Baltimore

A worn, stained or chipped tub does not always need to be torn out. We refinish it in place with a new glaze so it looks clean and bright again, for a lot less than a replacement and without the demolition.

Photo/video quote, usually within an hour · Same-day when the schedule allows · Fully insured, COI on request

When tub glazing makes sense

  • The tub is solid but the finish is dull, stained or worn through
  • Chips and small surface cracks you want repaired and covered
  • An old color, like pink, green or almond, that you want changed to white
  • A rental unit that needs to look fresh before the next tenant moves in
  • Getting a house ready to sell without redoing the whole bathroom

What we refinish

  • Cast iron tubs
  • Steel tubs
  • Fiberglass & acrylic tubs
  • Clawfoot tubs
  • Tub surrounds & wall tile
  • Small chip & crack repair

How it works

  1. 1. Text photos

Send a few photos of the tub to (443) 442-4646, including close-ups of chips, cracks or rust spots.

  2. 2. Get a clear price

We quote from the photos, usually within the hour, and tell you honestly if the tub is a good candidate for glazing.

  3. 3. We refinish it

We deep clean and prep the surface, repair chips, mask off the bathroom, apply the new glaze and leave it to cure. Most tubs are done in one visit.

For landlords and property managers

Tub glazing is one of the cheapest ways to make a rental bathroom look new between tenants. We can schedule it right after the turnover cleaning, or clear the unit first with an eviction cleanout or move-out cleaning, so one crew handles the whole turn. Before-and-after photos, COI and W-9 are available on request.

Good to know

  • The tub cannot be used while the glaze cures. Plan on about a day or two before the first shower; we will give you the exact time for your job
  • We ventilate the bathroom while we work. Pets and anyone sensitive to smells should stay out of that area during the job
  • A glazed tub lasts longest with gentle cleaners. Skip abrasive powders and scrub pads
  • Tubs that are rusted through, badly cracked or leaking need a replacement, and we will tell you that up front
  • Need the bathroom cleaned after? See house cleaning

Common questions

How much does bathtub refinishing cost in Baltimore?

It depends on the tub type, its condition, how many chips or cracks need repair and whether the surround is included. Text photos and you get a clear price before we schedule.

Is refinishing cheaper than replacing the tub?

Usually, yes. Glazing skips the demolition, plumbing work and new tub, so it costs much less than a replacement and is done in a fraction of the time.

How long before I can use the tub?

Plan on about a day or two for the glaze to cure before the first shower or bath. We will tell you the exact wait for your job.

Can you change the color of my tub?

Yes. Most people go from an old color like pink, green or almond to a clean white.

Can you refinish a fiberglass or acrylic tub?

Yes. We refinish cast iron, steel, fiberglass and acrylic tubs, as long as the tub is solid and not leaking.

Do you do tub glazing for rental turnovers?

Yes. Landlords and property managers book us to glaze tubs between tenants, often with the turnover cleaning in the same week.

Which areas do you serve?
